ABOUT US

In 1974 The Oak Island Volunteer Fire Department and Double Bayou Volunteer Fire Department merged to create the Oak Island- Double Bayou Volunteer Fire Department. The OIDBVFD is the only department in Chambers County that operates and maintains 2 fire stations. The agency currently covers a rapidly growing 91 square miles in Mid-Chambers Chambers.
